Princess Place Preserve Palm Coast FL

This month we went to Princess Place Preserve. We are giving it a Primitive 4 out of 5 overall. This county park is located in Flagler county in Palm Coast Fl. http://www.flaglercounty.org/departments/princess_place_preserve
Camping is primitive overall and does not have electric but does offer fire rings, picnic tables, and water at many of the campsite areas. Tents are allowed at the standard campsites and equestrian trailers are allowed in the equestrian sites. No other Pop up or camping trailers are permitted. There are campsites along the water which are perfect if you like to fish or kayak. The scenery along the waterways is absolutely beautiful. Group camping is also available. There are porta potties available near most campsites and restroom facilities are available near the equestrian sites and next to the lodge. Camp site fees range from $20 standard to $25 for equestrian per the website at the time of this printing. The equestrian sites include fenced in areas for your horses.
There is no driving permitted in/out of the campground after 6pm and campers must remain in their campsite after 6pm. There is a list of rules available on the website and we recommend checking those out before reserving.
The park is on a historic site and offers a wide variety of activities including many equestrian and walking trails. You will want to be sure to visit the lodge and stables. Sit and relax in rocking chairs on the porch overlooking the water. Canoeing and kayaking launches are available. This park is abundant with wildlife. While we were there we did see large cat prints.
We would have given it a 5 however the lack of bathroom facilities and rules regarding entry and no driving after 6pm ranked it as a 4 out of 5.  We would recommend checking this campground out even for just the day use of the park.  Let us know how you like Princess Place Preserve. We would love to hear from all of you. Please send us your reviews and feedback on this or any other campground.
